Accept & Display Badges

When you accept a badge, it becomes part of your public profile. You control which badges to display.

Accepting a Badge

Go to Inbox

Open the Inbox page from the navigation.

Find the Badge

Look in the Pending tab for badges awaiting your decision.

Click Accept

Hit the Accept button on the badge card.

Approve Signing

If using an extension, approve the signature request.

What Happens When You Accept

1. Badge Box creates a profile badges event (kind 30008)
2. It includes this badge plus any you've previously accepted
3. The event is signed with your key
4. Published to Nostr relays
5. Badge moves from Pending to My Collection

All or Nothing

Your profile badges event contains ALL accepted badges. Each time you accept or remove one, the entire list is republished.

Removing a Badge

Changed your mind? Remove badges from your collection:

1. Go to the My Collection tab
2. Click Remove on the badge
3. Approve the signing request

The badge moves back to your pending list. It's no longer displayed publicly.

Award Still Exists

Removing a badge hides it from your profile, but the original award event remains on Nostr. The issuer's record of awarding you the badge is permanent.

Declining Badges

Don't want a badge at all? Simply ignore it. Pending badges stay in your inbox but don't appear on your profile. There's no "decline" action needed.
